Where to go to college was not a question that troubled Max Post, ’11, as he looked beyond high school graduation. He knew that Johnson State was the right place for him and he has never doubted the wisdom of that decision. The former president of the JSC Ski and Snowboard Club, Outing Club trip leader, Ultimate Frisbee Club team member and Resident Assistant credits the strength of his JSC education and the mentorship of his professors as laying the groundwork for his successful career.
“Johnson State College directly prepared me for my career through positive role models, experiential education from top-notch professors, and one of the best campus locations for Outdoor Education in the world. As the Program Director at Umiak Outdoor Outfitters and senior guide, I do not have good days, I have a great day, every day. I am currently continuing to develop and maintain my certifications through the American Canoe Association, Wilderness First Responder, Professional Ski Instructors Association/American Association of Snowboard Instructors, American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education, and American Mountain Guide Association.“
