There’s a good chance that if you’ve chosen to come to Johnson State College, you’ve got an appreciation for the outdoors. If you can’t get enough of fresh air, sunshine and the wonders of the natural world, the JSC Outing Club is for you.
From caving, rock climbing, camping and hiking excursions to the annual Gear Swap fundraiser to on-campus movies, the Outing Club provides ample opportunities for enjoying the outdoors, meeting new people, and learning more about the natural world.
Outing Club Mission Statement
The Johnson State Outing Club is an organization of people who share a love for the outdoors and the environment. It provides an opportunity for people to learn a new skill or take on an adventure of their own. We want people to feel comfortable but also take on challenges. We will assist people who wish to lead or participate in backpacking, hiking, camping, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, and canoeing. Equipment is limited, but may be provided to the JSC community from the outing club with prior notice. Anyone is welcome to participate, novice up to expert level.
