Town of Johnson
Johnson is a classic New England college town. Our campus, which overlooks the Lamoille River Valley, is surrounded by some of the highest mountains in Vermont. Main Street offers a coffee house, a bookstore and the famous Johnson Woolen Mills and outlet store. The Vermont Studio Center attracts nationally and internationally known writers and artists in all media.
Johnson State is about an hour’s drive from Burlington, Vermont’s largest city, and a college town itself. Burlington overlooks Lake Champlain, the Adirondacks and the Green Mountains and offers shopping, art, music, theater, food and more.
Additionally, we’re less than two hours from Montreal, Quebec in Canada. This vibrant, international city is home to the NHL Canadiens hockey team, a casino, and many, many museums, art galleries, restaurants, shops and other popular cultural and tourist destinations.
