Roots rock-and-roll artist Nikki Hill and her band will bring their soulful sound to Johnson State College at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the Dibden Center for the Arts. The concert is free and open to the public.
Hailing from Durham, N.C., Hill began singing in gospel choirs at church as a child. A stint living in the nearby college town of Chapel Hill introduced her to many different styles of music. With her guitar-playing husband, Matt Hill, she has established herself as a roots rock-and-roll powerhouse. Nikki’s gritty, soulful voice is highlighted by Matt’s driving guitar and a tight rhythm section, making this a not-to-miss show.
