It’s that time of year again! The committee is hard at work reviewing potential book candidates for our 2014 Common Reading Initiative. This year we are only considering texts written by women authors. And while dozens of titles have passed through our hands, we have not yet found the perfect selection for our incoming freshmen to read over the summer. Let us know if you have any suggestions!
Last year a generous donor made a gift in honor of her late mother (described affectionately as “a lover of books and cities”) to cover the cost of purchasing all of the hard cover texts and related programming. Perhaps you are a lover of books and would be interested in making a donation to cover that expense this year. Your gift would entitle you to place a nameplate with the wording of your choice in every distributed copy of the book. Please contact Lauren Philie for details.
