Author of the Johnson State 2014 Common Book, A Pearl in the Storm, and first woman to make a solo rowing trip across the Atlantic Ocean, Tori Murden McClure, will give a public talk and sign books tonight at 8 p.m. in Dibden Center for the Arts on the Johnson State Campus.
Murden McClure’s book chronicles her remarkable mental and physical journey as she undertakes to row 1,350 miles across the Atlantic Ocean on her own. The book was chosen as this year’s Common Reading book, and was read by all new students as well as faculty, staff and other members of the college community.
Murden McClure will speak about her book, her adventure and other topics, and will be signing copies of her book afterwards.
All are invited to attend this free and sure-to-be-inspiring event.
