Jason, technical director for JSC’s Dibden Center for the Arts, is a multimedia artist who has been a sound and video designer for theater and circus.
Before pursuing an M.F.A., he worked as a sound engineer and stage electrician for diverse entertainment venues and managed the Pell Chafee Performance Center for the Brown University-Trinity Rep M.F.A. program in Providence, Rhode Island.
As an artist, his work has spanned a number of installation mediums and appeared in galleries across Chicago. He plans to build on those experiences at JSC and in the broader Vermont community. Jason also has been a longtime sound designer and engineer with Vermont-based Circus Smirkus.
At JSC, Jason says, “I’m interested in finding new ways to bring valuable arts and entertainment to Dibden and to use that to give our students a broader technical and conceptual understanding of what makes art happen.”
