Recommended High School Courses

We recommend that high school students complete a college preparatory curriculum that includes:

  • Four years of English
  • Three years of college preparatory mathematics
  • Three years of social sciences
  • Two years of science (one course with a lab)

Advanced Placement Examination Credit

JSC will grant both advanced placement and course credit to students who have received a grade of 3 or higher on the College Board's Advanced Placement (AP) Program exams. For complete details, see the college catalog.

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

JSC may grant credit for scores received on the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). See the college catalog for more details.
