Vermont is a breathtakingly beautiful place, and our campus is no exception. Our hilltop location offers 360-degree views of the Green Mountains as they are transformed by the seasons, as well as the meadows, hills and woods that make up the 350 acres of our peaceful piece of Vermont.
We hope we’ll get a chance to meet you in person and show you the vistas as well as our favorite spots on campus — from the Library, to the Rugby pitch, to the Julian Scott Gallery, to the Lower Pond. We’d love to show you why we love this place.
And while the scenery will impress you, a visit will let you see what makes us truly special — our people. We’re a community of hard-working, creative, open-minded people who support and encourage each other, no matter how different the places we’ve come from or are headed to.
A family visiting campus recently reported with great delight that their tour guide, a varsity athlete who was clearly serious about his sport, couldn’t say enough about the arts on campus — “They’re the best part of being here!” And you better believe that our painters, poets and dancers are rooting the loudest for our Badgers when they’re on the courts and fields! That mutual support and willingness to branch out beyond ‘your thing’ is what makes Johnson State such a great place to learn and grow.
