Expert Advising, Locally and Online
Distance-Learning students benefit from the one-on-one advising and personal support they receive from our expert team of faculty and staff advisors. Whether you’re completing your degree through JSC in Your Community/EDP or doing your whole degree online through JSC Online, we’re here to help you navigate scheduling, degree planning and other elements of a successful distance education.
JSC in Your Community (EDP) Advising
EDP advisors are based in all 12 Community College of Vermont academic centers in Vermont and know the program inside out. They make maximum use of your transfer credits, matching them to degree requirements to ensure they provide the most value toward your degree. They also work closely with you to design a program that meets your goals, fits your schedule, and makes the most of your prior learning. Students pursuing a B.A. in Childhood Education through EDP receive the same personal advising from JSC Education faculty members. Email Education Advisor Rob Schulze or call the JSC Education Department at 802-635-1320 for information.
JSC Online Advising
The lead advisor for students enrolled in JSC Online is longtime advisor and faculty member Clyde Stats. You can email Clyde at Clyde.Stats@jsc.edu or call him at 802-635-1263.
Students who need accommodations should contact JSC’s Office of Academic Support Services at 802-635-1259 upon enrollment to ensure that we can arrange any necessary accommodations.
