Stearns Renovation Project Blog: June 2008
What's Happening Now
- The majority of the demolition on the Stearns site is now complete
- Construction crews are in the process of pouring concrete and adding support walls
- The stairs have been removed from the 4th to 3rd floor
- Exterior water proofing will be done in next couple weeks
- The project remains on schedule
- Aramark Dining Services will be operating out of the SHAPE facility multi-gym for the majority of the summer - June 16 through August 10. Dining services will reopen during Orientation Weekend for the fall semester in Stearns.
- A mobile kitchen will be installed on-site in the SHAPE facilitiy on or around June 10.
- Please remember, all visitors to the Stearns site must register with the construction office on the north side of Stearns Hall. Hard hats and other protective gear must be worn at all times. Please use the stairs to the east of Governor's to access the lower parking lots when possible. The ramp continues to be available for wheelchair access.
