Compensation
VSCSF Salary Grade 5
Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred, plus one to two years of relevant commercial/institutional custodial experience required.

Examples of Work Performed
Clean and perform routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks for all campus buildings, including residence halls, classrooms, and administrative offices.
Vacuum, sweep, dust, mop, wash, strip, wax, buff floors, wash windows, walls, chalkboards, trash cans, dust furniture, fixtures, woodwork, empty trash receptacles, pick up litter in and around buildings, clean and stock bathrooms, change and clean shower curtains, replace light bulbs, move furniture, and perform related duties as assigned.

Security Officer II

Salary
VSCSF Grade 8
Qualifications
High school education plus two or more years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired; good working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, fire prevention and firefighting methods; relevant first aid training and knowledge of CPR desirable; ability to effectively deal with a wide range of individuals; ability to train and oversee work of others; and physical ability to perform all job duties. A post-offer pre-employment physical, a valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record review are mandatory. Position requires a fingerprint-supported criminal background check and employment physical.
Examples of Work Performed
- Protect people and property on campus, and assist in handling of various emergency situations.
- Patrol campus buildings and grounds to prevent or deal with any incidents of theft, vandalism, fire or fire hazards, disorderly conduct, violation of college traffic, safety, security or other regulations.
- Check ID’s of visitors and escort individuals off campus as appropriate.
- Ensure that all buildings are locked and unlocked as appropriate; check physical plant at night.
- Respond to calls involving medical emergencies; administer first aid and/or call for additional assistance as needed.
- Call for and assist local fire and rescue personnel as needed; provide security services such as parking and traffic direction, crowd control, and the like, for special events.
- Minimal supervision by the director; hours during the week may vary and will include nights and weekends.

Qualifications
Associates Degree in an appropriate discipline plus three or more years of relevant clerical and administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Good planning, administrative and organizational skills; research, writing and math skills.
- Previous experience in organizing and maintaining moderately complex filing and record keeping systems, including experience with computerized information systems.
- Good general understanding of higher education organizational structure and administrative operations.
- Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of individuals inside and outside of the College.
Examples of Work Performed
- Serve as liaison with students, faculty, staff, parents, employers, etc.; present information on department programs; explain standard policies and procedures; process special requests, discuss, investigate and resolve problems, referring to supervisor regarding appropriate action to be taken as necessary.
- Responsible for office reception/administrative functions including referral to appropriate staff/departments, answering phones, greeting visitors, and maintaining appointment calendars.
- Coordinate online job posting system, graduate survey and change of advisor processes.
- Train and supervise several student workers.
- Assist in departmental budget planning. Monitor expenditures and process budget documents.
- Design, implement and maintain departmental filing, record-keeping and reporting systems, including computer applications.
- Confer regularly with supervisor, college personnel, and/or off-campus organizations/individuals to plan, coordinate and evaluate programs/activities, exchange information and resolve problems.
- Develop (write, design, draft, edit, etc.) written documents such as policy and procedure manuals, instructional materials, and daily correspondence.
- Organize and coordinate various events, including arranging for necessary facilities, staffing, scheduling, and promotion.

Women's Softball Coach

Duties & Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be in charge of all aspects of the women’s softball program and will develop and implement all aspects of the softball program. Women’s season is played during the spring term.
- Responsibilities include the direction women’s softball program: including recruitment of quality student athletes, retention, fund raising, pre and post season conditioning programs, and the organizing and planning of practices and game strategies.
- This position will be responsible for monitoring academic performance of their student athletes. This includes overseeing of class attendance, grades, class performance and study habits to encourage the attainment of a degree and maintain athletics eligibility.
- The head coach will be responsible for initializing and supervising community service projects in coordination with the athletic department.
- This candidate will have the knowledge and adherence to comply with NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
- This position reports to the athletic director or assistant athletic director and may have other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Collegiate playing/coaching experience preferred.
