Qualifications:

  • Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Anthropology or Sociology at the time of appointment.

  • Expertise in criminal justice/justice studies or medical anthropology or sociology would be desirable, although other specialty areas will be considered.

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Teach courses in introductory anthropology or sociology, theory, social science methods

    courses as well as courses in the applicant’s area of expertise.

    Guide undergraduates in small-scale “field” projects, often in local communities.

    Excellent teaching and advising, an active research program, and service to the college and community are expected, as is a commitment to the college-wide goal of early and ongoing student success.
