SGA President

James Dempsey

Major: Political Science

Hometown: Lincoln, Vermont

Interests: Photography, travel and volunteering

Why I'm involved in student government:

I am involved in our student government because I want to fairly and accurately portray the voice and the view of the student. With open-mindedness, I feel that we can move forward together and create real change on campus and potentially within the state. Working with new students as well as returning, allows us to create community and true friendship. If we all approach our community’s widely held ideas and beliefs, we can work forward and make JSC a better place for each individual student. I have never held such a humbling and rewarding position as the student government President and Johnson State College.
