Making Appointments
Appointments can be made by phone or in person. You may schedule an appointment by calling 802-635-1265, or by stopping by our office in Senators South, room 052. We are located on the sub-floor, which you can reach on the back side of the building, closest to the parking lot.
Note: You cannot make an appointment for another person. You can make a consultation appointment with a counselor to discuss concerns about another person.
Hours
The Counseling Center is open for individual appointments 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, with some evening and early morning hours also available.
If you call after our regular business hours, please leave a message on our confidential voicemail (802-635-1265), and we will return your call on the next business day.
Cancellation and No-Show Policies
To minimize waiting lists and periods for those needing services we have a no-show policy: if a student does not show for a first appointment without calling to cancel, they are put back on the waiting list.
Students already engaged in services are expected to give 24 hours notice to cancel appointments and are removed from the clinical schedule after two no shows without calling, in order to make sure that services are available for students who want and need them.
Frequent cancellations are addressed in the context of the therapy and whether or not it is still needed, whether the clinician is effectively meeting the student’s needs/goals and or the student’s level of commitment or readiness to utilize the process.
Intake Forms
If you would like, you may download, print out, fill out and bring the intake forms with you to your first appointment, or when going to the Counseling Center to schedule an appointment.
