About JSC Counseling Services
Becoming a college student is an exciting time that brings many adjustments and challenges. Students come to the Counseling Center to talk with us about their feelings, concerns and choices they face during their college years. We are here to listen, support, and help you to make the most of your educational experience.
You do not have to have severe problems to come to the Counseling Center. Services are available to any students who are interested in personal growth and exploration.
In addition, we strive to foster a healthy, caring college community that serves the personal development of its members. The Center recognizes the value of diversity in the JSC community —embracing and celebrating the range of ethnic and racial backgrounds, religious beliefs, sexual orientations, socio-economic backgrounds, and physical and mental abilities of the Johnson State College community.
We frequently meet with students, faculty and others who are worried about students, friends, or roommates. We can help understand what the problems might be and how the concerned other can intervene. These and our other services are confidential and voluntary.
