Security and Access to Campus Facilities

The Public Safety Department is responsible for control and access to campus building and grounds. The residence halls are locked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Guests of residential students must have valid passes and must follow all JSC regulations and policies. Residents are responsible for their guests' actions.

Anyone found in academic building after specified closing times will be asked to leave. The closing hours for the academic buildings are:

SHAPE/Carter Gymnasium 10 p.m.
McClelland Hall   11 p.m.
Dibden Center for the Arts 11 p.m.
Bentley Hall       11 p.m.
Library & Learning Center 11 p.m.
Visual Arts Center     11 p.m.
Martinetti Hall  (Admin. Section) 11 p.m.

Dewey Campus Center  

 11 p.m.
Stearns Student Center (24-hour access for JSC students, beginning October 2008 for the 4th floor only) 2 a.m.

Certain events taking place on campus may change these closing times occasionally. If you have questions about the closing hours of any building, please contact Public Safety.
