Student, Faculty and Staff Parking

Registering Your Vehicle

All faculty, staff and students who park a motor vehicle, including motorcycles, must register that vehicle with the Department of Public Safety.

To register your vehicle and obtain a parking permit, you will need to bring a copy of your vehicle registration with you to the Public Safety Department, located in the Dewey Campus Center. If you bring in the original form, a copy will be made and the original returned to you.

Permit Costs

Parking permits are issued at a cost of $50.00 per permit and are valid through the date indicated. A $50.00 replacement fee will be charged for any lost or stolen permits. Permit fees are not refundable.

The permit you receive is specific to your vehicle and cannot be loaned or transferred to any other vehicle. If you should obtain a new vehicle, you must return the old permit to Public Safety to obtain a new permit.

Visitor Parking

Visitor parking is available and located in three main parking areas:

Admissions/Martinetti Hall

From the main entrance, follow the road all the way to the end of the loop where you will encounter a stop sign. From that sign, turn right immediately into the faculty/staff parking lot. Take the left that runs in front of Martinetti Hall. You will see visitor parking spaces to your left, and also in front of the main entrance for Admissions.

Dibden Center for the Arts/Library

From the main entrance take the first right, following the signs to Dibden and the LLC (Library & Learning Center). Turn left at the stop sign at the entrance to the parking lot, and you will see visitor parking in the row on the left.

Visual Arts Center

From the main entrance, take the second right into the Visual Arts Center parking lot. You will find visitor parking at the corner of the lot nearest the athletic fields, towards campus.

Visitors Using JSC Facilities

Community members who use the SHAPE facility and/or the library should park in the visitor parking spaces listed above. Please call Public Safety at 802-635-1205 if there are no visitor spaces available.

Handicapped Permits

Temporary handicapped permits are available for faculty, staff and students who have a documented medical condition or impairment that necessitates special parking privileges. Contact the Department of Public Safety at 802-635-1205 for more information.
