Description of the Major
Our well-known hospitality and tourism management program prepares students with an interest in hospitality, travel, or tourism for the challenges of the 21st century. HTM provides the program with new faculty members on the cutting edge of the profession, new student scholarships, a new state-of-the-art technology lab, and exciting new links to the hotel/hospitality industry.
Hospitality and tourism are vital elements of both the Vermont and the global economy. By the year 2010, hospitality is projected to be the largest industry in the world, employing 10.5 million workers in the U.S. and more than 112 million people internationally.

You'll have tremendous freedom to travel and work in exotic locations while building a successful career. Students in the hospitality and tourism management program at Johnson State College graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in this challenging global industry.
