What Can I Do With an Outdoor Education Major?
Description of the Major
The outdoor education major is highly experiential and leads to diverse careers working with a variety of populations in outdoor settings. The program consists of a 34-credit core plus two concentrations: one in adventure education and wilderness leadership; the second in environmental education.

Students who major in Outdoor Education have excellent people skills, superior verbal and written communication abilities, and thoroughly enjoy the outdoors. These students often take pleasure in physical fitness, organizing outdoor activities, and working independently and in small groups.
