Description of the Major
The English program is a fertile first step into the world of literary analysis. Students in this program explore literature and language from critical, aesthetic, historical, linguistic and national perspectives. Opportunities to study creative writing and journalism are also components of the program. Further, you can earn secondary school teaching licensure in English by adding select education courses and practice teaching to your B.A. requirements.
