Crazy Acres in the Julian Scott Memorial Gallery

Artist James Gahagan Celebrated at Julian Scott Memorial Gallery

SHAPE Facility Grand Re-Opening Set for November 9

11.2.09 On Monday, November 9 at 3:30 p.m., Johnson State College will celebrate the re-opening of its campus SHAPE athletics and recreation facility. The renovated facility features a host of upgrades as well as improvement in accessibility. Learn more about SHAPE

H1N1 Flu Update

10.30.09 The H1N1 flu is now classified as widespread in Vermont. While it is difficult to give exact numbers, at least 20 JSC students have had symptoms of influenza-like illness. JSC Professor Leads Groundbreaking Study on Asthma and Exercise

10.26.09 Professor Hans Haverkamp is spearheading a study that may change the way people with asthma view exercise. Dr. Haverkamp is conducting research on people with mild-to-moderate asthma to determine whether having asthma symptoms affects their ability to exercise. Read more about Haverkamp's research

JSC Students Organize Coral Reef Run

10.21.09 In partnership with the Nature Conservancy, JSC students are sponsoring the Coral Reef Run on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Students hope to raise funds to protect 100 acres of reef around the Republic of Palau in the Pacific Ocean. Full Story

Lakota Oglala Elder and JSC Student to Present on Lakota Culture and Community

10.19.09 On Monday, November 16, 2009, Lakota elder Paul WhiteDress (Chili) from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and JSC student Deborah Nevil will talk about the culturally and spiritually rich traditions and the community culture of the Lakota Oglala Sioux. Full Story
