Stowe Rotary Scholarship Endowment
The Stowe Rotary Club established this endowment in 2000 at Johnson State College to help single parents from Lamoille County attain a college education. The Stowe Rotary wishes to assist Lamoille county students who are working to better their lives through obtaining a college degree.
The Stowe Rotary Endowment Scholarship goes to a Lamoille County student who is a single parent and has an excellent academic record and high financial need. In years when a qualified full-time student application is not received, the scholarship can go to a part-time External Degree Program (EDP) student. Economic need and reasonable academic diligence are required, but it is understood that these student are also working and raising a child or children.
