Julia V. and Ervin L. Willey Scholarship Endowment
This endowment was established in 1996 and donated by Richard E. Willey, ’71, and his wife Rosalind Weiss, in honor of his father and mother. Julia V. (Coolbeth) and Ervin Willey were born into an early 1900’s farming community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Both being from families of modest means, they were not privileged to have been able to finish high school, let alone have the opportunity to pursue higher education. As a result, they worked hard and sacrificed to make available to their children educational opportunities that had not been available to them. This endowment continues their spirit of hard work and sacrifice on behalf of future generations.
Julia V. and Ervin L. Willey Scholarships go to deserving students with good academic records and financial need.
