“Life in Orleans County,” a new video documentary produced by students at Johnson State College, will premiere at the college’s Bentley Hall auditorium, Thursday, Dec. 13, at 2:30 p.m.

Students Form Chapter of NORML - Second in Vermont

How do you get a lot of people to attend a meeting at Johnson State College? Sending out an open invitation to attend the first meeting of the Johnson State College chapter of NORML is one way.


On Thursday, Dec. 6, 55 people gathered, ask questions, and shared opinions about the legalization and decriminalization of marijuana in Vermont and throughout the country.

Miracle on 110th Street: Selling Trees to Harlem

The year is 1974, early December, and a young George Nash is trucking a flatbed of balsam firs down I-89 toward Boston.


At the same time, Kevin Hammer, a 19 year old Brooklynite with a cargo van and a bright idea, is headed in the opposite direction. Spotting Nash on the highway, Hammer spins his van around and follows Nash to a gas station outside White River Junction.
