The JSC Ski and Snowboard Club has recently expanded the on campus terrain park with the addition of donated table tops and rails. The club started its search for new equipment this year, and was referred to Bolton Valley by the Burton Factory in Burlington.

Read MoreJohnson has a new Assistant Athletic Trainer, Betsy O’Rourke, who is replacing former Assistant Athletic Trainer Mia Taylor.
O’Rourke, from Bakersfield, Vt., graduated from Castleton State in May, 2006, with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and a concentration in Athletic Training. O’Rourke was also a member of the CSC women’s basketball team for four years, and was named team captain in her senior year.
Six is the number of losses that the city of Boston has to its name right now. The Boston Bruins are currently 8-6 and in third place in the NHL’s Northeast Division. The New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics have nine and seven wins respectively (Celtics started their season on Nov. 2). And, of course, the city is still celebrating the Red Sox second championship in three years.
As much as I love to talk about the Red Sox (as you can tell from my last column), I will make this brief. They swept the series in 2004 and this year, 2007. The year of Boston sports has started with the Red Sox winning it all.
On Friday, Nov.9, I traveled with 18 other members of the Johnson State College Ultimate Frisbee team to play the following day at Green Mountain College in Poultney.
