Johnson Defeated By Green Mountain, Castleton in NAC Matches

In the second match of the day, Green Mountain beat Johnson State by scores of 25-10, 25-11, and 25-13.

 

Emma Brinley Buckley led the Eagles with 14 kills, five aces and three blocked shots while Jen McGuire contributed 11 assists and five aces. Melanie Rodriguez amassed eight digs for GMC and Olesea Cojohari had five aces.

 

Jessica Pafumi (Monson, Mass.) had two kills and one ace for the Badgers while Caitlin Mackey (St. Albans, Vt.) had two aces and nine digs in the loss.

 

Castleton State 3, Johnson State 0

 

Castleton State ended their day with a 3-0 win against Johnson State by set scores of 25-6, 25-12, and 25-12.

 

Ashley Kepaa led the Spartans again with 11 kills, seven aces and three blocks while Jamie Lemieux chipped in 12 kills. Hillary Greenfield had an impressive 18 assists along with four kills, and Stephanie Kopko added five aces.

 

Pafumi had a team-high two kills for the Badgers, Mackey contributed two aces and seven digs. Kylie Van Etten (Montrose, Penn.) and Beth Lilligreen (North Kingstown, R.I.) each had six digs in the loss.
