Badgers Swept at Husson

Johnson State dropped a pair of softball games at Husson College on Saturday to fall to 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the North Atlantic Conference.

 

GAME 1:  Husson 9, Johnson State 0

 

The home Eagles scored three first inning runs and did not look back to cruise to a 9-0 five inning win.

 

The Johnson State offense was able to generate three hits in the game led by Eric Glock (Sr., South Woodstock, Vt./Windsor) and her 2-for-2 effort, both hits singles.  Allie Cunningham (Jr., Manchester, N.H./Central) added a single as well.

 

Julie Gervais (So., Enosburg Falls, Vt./Enosburg) pitched four innings allowing 10 hits, six earned runs, and two walks while striking out a pair to get tagged with the loss for Johnson State.

 

GAME 2:  Husson 18, Johnson State 0

 

In the second game of the twin bill the Eagles drilled 18 hits and scored 18 runs to run away with the victory.

 

A pair of Husson pitchers combined for the five inning no hitter in the game.

 

Gervais and Cunningham each pitched two innings for JSC with Gervais getting the loss.

 

Johnson State will play at Maine Maritime on Sunday to complete the road trip.
