Badgers Swept By CSJ
Rutland, Vt. (April 8, 2008)
Johnson State softball was swept by the College of St. Joseph (Vt.) in Rutland on Tuesday by the scores of 8-0 and 8-4. Johnson State falls to 0-10 on the season and 0-6 in the North Atlantic Conference with the losses.
GAME 1: CSJ 8, JSC 0
Stephanie Girard (Fr., Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan) and Christina Gilbert (Jr., Newport, Maine/Nokomis Regional) each singled in the Badgers 8-0 loss to the home Saints of St. Joseph (Vt.).
GAME 2: CSJ 8, JSC 4
Girard singled, walked, and scored two runs in the Badgers 8-4 loss to CSJ. JSC took at a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning but the Saints scored four runs in the fifth to take the lead and earn the win.
Gilbert also singled, walked, and scored a run and Julie Gervais (So., Enosburg Falls, Vt./Enosburg) doubled and scored a run to lead the JSC offense.
