LYNDONVILLE, Vt. (April 28, 2008) - Johnson State scored a season-high 23 goals en route the 23-15 defeat of Lyndon State College on Monday in a non-conference lacrosse game in the rain at LSC.  With the win Johnson State moves to 7-4 overall on the season.

 

Kegan Pettit (Sr., South Freeport, Maine/Freeport) and Billy Noyes (So., Boston, Mass./Northeast Metro Tech) each tied a school-record with eight goals apiece in the game.  Noyes added three assists in the game for a 11-point outing, a new school-record.

 

Matt Riani (Jr., Jericho, Vt./Mount Mansfield Union) and Mike Murphy (So., Woodstock, Vt./Woodstock) each tallied two goals with Riani adding three assists while Steve Noyes (So., Barre, Vt./Spaulding), Matt Martin (Sr., Vergennes, Vt./Middlebury), and David Derick (Fr., Newport, Vt./North Country Union) each recorded a goal.

 

Evan Pestone (Sr., Cohasset, Mass./Cohasset) made 17 saves for the Badgers en route to his seventh win of the season.

 

Chris Salvagno scored eight goals for Lyndon State while Chris Mansour added four goals.  Matt Adams made eight stops in goal for the Hornets.

 

Johnson State will host Lyndon State on Wednesday at 4:00 pm in the team's final game of the year.
