JSC Lax Moves to 3-0 with 10-6 Triumph at DWC
Goalkeeper Evan Pestone and the JSC defense held Daniel Webster to a single second-half goal in the Badgers 10-6 win over the Eagles

The Johnson State men's lacrosse team ran their record to 3-0 overall and 3-0 in the North Atlantic Conference with a 10-6 win at Daniel Webster College on Thursday. The undefeated start is the best in school history and has the Badgers tied with Mount Ida College atop the NAC standings early in the 2008 season.
Billy Noyes (So., Boston, Mass./Northeast Metro Tech) continued his torrid scoring pace netting five more goals in the win giving him 12 goals in three games. Erik Tillberg (So., Randolph, Vt./Randolph) scored a pair of goals and added an assist while Steve Noyes (So., Barre, Vt./Spaulding) dished our three assists. Matt Martin (Sr., Vergennes, Vt./Middlebury), Matt Riani (Jr., Jericho, Vt./Mount Mansfield Union), and Mike Murphy (So., Woodstock, Vt./Woodstock) all added a goal apiece.
Evan Pestone (Sr., Cohasset, Mass./Cohasset) and the Johnson State defense came up big in the second half holding the Eagles to only one goal and turning a 5-5 halftime score into a four-goal win. Pestone made 12 saves on the day, seven of which came in the third period.
Johnson State will play Thomas College on Saturday at 12:00 pm at Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont in their next contest, another North Atlantic Conference tilt.
