Fleming, Noyes Named to NAC 1st Team

JOHNSON, Vt. (April 30, 2008) - A pair of Johnson State lacrosse players have been voted to the North Atlantic Conference 1st Team by the league's coaches.
R.J. Fleming (Jr., Brattleboro, Vt./Brattleboro) spear-headed the JSC defense using a combination of power, speed, and outstanding stick skills. The Business major scooped up 42 groundballs and had an assist on the season but his ability to slow best offensive player and disrupt the offensive game plan of Badger opponents.
Billy Noyes (So., Boston, Mass./Northeast Metro Tech) was a scoring machine in the 2008 season netting 36 goals and assisting on 17 scores for a total of 53 points, a JSC single-season record, to lead JSC in scoring. The lefty Business major set a school record in single-game points on April 28th with an 11-point effort in a win over Lyndon State. Noyes' eight goals in that game tied the school record for goals in a game. Noyes' speed, agility, and ability to find the back of the net will make him a thorn in NAC defenses for his remaining two seasons.
Fleming and Noyes led the Badgers to an 8-4 record overall, the best winning percentage since becoming a full NCAA program in 2002.
