Four JSC Student-Athletes Honored By NAC
Men's Soccer Player of the Week; Dylan Woolf (Charlotte, Vt./Champlain Valley Union)
Woolf, a sophomore Music Education major, scored the game-winning overtime goal in the Badgers 2-1 victory over conference and in-state rival Castleton on Saturday, JSC's only game of the week.
Women's Tennis Player of the Week; Chelsie O'Connell (Lewiston, Maine/Mountain Valley)
O'Connell, a junior Hospitality and Tourism Management major, earned a 7-6, 6-2 victory at #1 singles and then paired with Laura Wnuk for a 8-3 #1 doubles victory to lead Johnson State to a 6-3 team victory over Newbury College in the Badgers first match of the year.
Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week; Laura Wnuk (Berlin, Conn./Berlin)
Wnuk, a freshman Wellness and Alternative Medicine major, earned a 6-2, 6-3 #2 singles triumph in her first college match and then combined with Chelsie O'Connell for a #1 doubles win, 8-3, to push Johnson State to a 6-3 team win over Newbury College.
Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week; Jamie Bean (Milford, Conn./Foran)
Bean, a freshman Outdoor Education major, ran the Castleton Invitational 8K course in a time of 33:06.13 to finish in 21st overall in an incomplete team finish for Johnson State.
