Men's Varsity Basketball Coaching Staff
Head Coach Michael Osborne
Michael Osborne, who also serves as the institution's Assistant Director of Athletics and Sports Information Director, enters his fifth season as head coach at Johnson State College, his alma mater.
Coach Osborne led JSC to 12 wins in 2008-09 the most since the 2001-02 season. In four seasons Osborne has compiled a 33-69 record.
Coach Osborne spent the 2004-05 season at Central Maine Community College in Auburn, Maine where he served as an Assistant to the Athletic Director and was also the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. He helped guide the Mustangs (22-6) to a third place finish in the USCAA National Championship Tournament.
Coach Osborne had a fine playing career at Johnson State College helping lead the program to Mayflower Conference championship games in 1994 & 1997 as well as a regular-season Mayflower Conference championship in 1995. Coach Osborne is also among the school's all-time leaders in points, assists, field goals, three-point field goals, and free throw percentage.
Coach Osborne has years of other experience in athletics varying from playing alongside the world famous Harlem Globetrotters as a member of the New York Nationals, as well as serving as the Globetrotters Tour Production Manager to coaching boys basketball at Lamoille Union High School and St. Dominic's Regional High School to instructing at camps and clinics throughout New England.
Recently Coach Osborne also served on the tryout camp coach staff and as talent evaluator for the 2007 and 2008 American Basketball Association Champions Vermont Frost Heaves, a new professional basketball franchise. The Frost Heaves joined the ABA in the fall of 2006 and are owned by renowned sports writer Alexander Wolff.
Coach Osborne, originally from Williamstown, Vermont, resides in Jeffersonville, Vermont.

Greg Eckman
Assistant Men's Basketball Coach
Coach Eckman will enter his fourth season as the Badgers Assistant Men's Basketball Coach.
Coach Eckman graduated from Michigan Tech with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Marketing/Management.
While at Michigan Tech Coach Eckman played for current Head Coach Kevin Luke and competed in a school-record 117 consecutive career games, never missing one opportunity to play in the Huskies black and gold.
Coach Eckman helped MTU achieve new heights in basketball propelling the team to two trips to the Division II NCAA Tournament, three consecutive appearances in the Great Lake Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC) tournament finals, and one GLIAC Championship.
Coach Eckman, originally from Macomb, Michigan, resides in Westford, Vermont with his wife Chantal and son Mason.
