Green River Reservoir

Saturday & Sunday, September 5 & 6

This is not your typical Vermont State Park. Green River Reservoir provides camping and paddling in a remote setting.  Campsites can only be reached by boat.  Enjoy this fall trip to one of the most pristine places in Vermont, located close to JSC.

Day Hike Mount Mansfield

Friday, September 18
Leave SHAPE at 11 a.m.

Hike the highest mountain in Vermont (elevation of 4,393 feet.)  This mountain has some distinct features and resembles the profile of a human face.  This is the most popular hiking destination in Vermont and is located close to JSC.

Explore Babcock Nature Preserve

Friday, October 16
Leave SHAPE at 11 a.m.

This 1,000-acre preserve is located in Eden, Vermont minutes from JSC.  It has several ponds and cabins to explore along with a network of trails that connect to the Long Trail. JSC maintains the Babcock Nature Preserve.

Backpack a Section of the Long Trail

Saturday & Sunday, October 24 & 25

Enjoy a foliage hike along the Green Mountains of Vermont.  The Long Trail is the oldest, long distance hiking trail in the United States.  Many trail heads are located near JSC.

SnowFun Party

Friday, October 23,  Stearns Cinema, 7 p.m.

Get psyched for the 2009-2010 ski and ride season.  Purchase your Triple Major pass to Jay Peak, Bolton Valley and Mad River Glenn.  Watch the latest ski porn and win free swag.  JSC will offer transportation Spring '10 to Bolton Valley and Jay Peak.

Annual Full Moon Disc Golf Tourney

Monday, November 2  at 8 p.m.

Join in with other disc golf fanatics for the 4th Annual Disc Golf Full Moon Tournament.  Play the top 12 holes of the course lit by tiki torches; targets have attached flashlights to help you direct your shot. Get your free Innova Glow Discs for participating.

9 -10 p.m.   Van Leaves SHAPE at 8:30 p.m.

Check out the local skating rink only minutes from JSC.  Grab your skates, stick, helmet and a friend.  Head to the coolest place in town.  Don't have equipment?  No worries, the rink will provide you with skates and a stick.
