A Message from Karen Madden, PhD, Director of Academic Support Services
Welcome to Johnson State College! The goal of JSC's Academic Support Services and Federal TRIO program is to provide educational opportunity to students who are of modest income, are first generation college students or who have a disability.
By becoming involved in TRiO you can have priority access to all of the services provided by the Academic Support Services office such as academic advising and personal counseling, study and problem solving skills, tutoring, accommodations for students with documented disabilities, non-traditional student services, and assistance with completion of financial aid forms.
We have laptops, calculators and cameras for you to borrow. You may also be eligible for a supplemental grant from the Department of Education for the Fall 2008 semester. The average award for Spring 2009 was $1250. There is also an annual $500 TRiO Scholarship awarded.
