Welcome, New Transfer Students!

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you as a member of the Johnson State College community! This website contains the information you'll need as you prepare for your first year of college at JSC. (If you are a first-time college student or a transfer student with 14 or fewer credits, please go to our New Student website.)

Please pay particular attention to the checklist below, which walks you through the steps of becoming a successful JSC student. Be sure to submit all required forms and paperwork before you attend New Transfer Student Registration on July 30.

2010 FALL ENROLLMENT CHECKLIST FOR NEW CAMPUS-BASED TRANSFER STUDENTS

You've been accepted, and paid your deposit... now what?

Complete the Candidate Reply Form to let us know you are intending to enroll. Click here to access the form and get instructions about how to pay your admissions deposit.

Activate your JSC network account. This will give you access to JSC email, MyJSC and Web Services, and to the college-wide network when you're on campus. Activate and check your JSC email account to receive updates and information about financial aid, billing, and housing. Click here to learn how.

Get info about Financial Aid. Whether you've received an award letter, just applied, or still need to apply for aid, you can get information online or by calling the Financial Aid Office at 802-635-1380.

Submit Your Housing Contract. Housing assignments are made based on the date the housing contract is received in the Residence Life Office. Therefore, complete and submit your online contract as soon as possible. Please note: Your health forms must be completed and received for you to receive a housing placement. Download and Submit a Student Health Form. Vermont state law requires students to be up-to-date with immunizations prior to the start of the semester. Click on the link below to download a Student Health Form and drop it off at the check-in table at Registration or submit it to the Dean of Students' Office. Forms must be received and approved by the Student Health Center before you may enroll. Click here for more information and to download the form.

Complete and Submit a Disability Disclosure Form (if applicable). If you are a student with a disability and would like to access or learn more about accommodations, click here.

View and Pay Your Bill. You can view an estimated bill online. Once you have registered for classes, you will be able to view and pay your statement online with your username and password. Final payment is due August 13, 2010. Call the Business Office at 802-635-1207 with questions.

Sign Up for TRIO (if applicable). Download and complete the TRIO application to receive enhanced services and support. Click here to learn more and download an application.

Submit your Transcripts. Be sure to get final transcripts from any colleges you have attended previous to enrolling at JSC. These transcripts should be sent directly to the Admissions Office.
