Transfer Students

Students in a JSC labWhy transfer to JSC?

Transfer students find a welcoming atmosphere and productive learning environment at Johnson State College. These students represent a large portion of the student body on campus and in our statewide External Degree Program (EDP). Whether you're joining us from a community college or university, or if you've been out of college for a while, we want you to have a seamless transition into the JSC community and a positive learning experience on your way to a college degree. At JSC, learning is about expanding horizons, and we'll help you, as a transfer student, each step of the way.

There are two ways for transfer students to enroll at Johnson State College:

1. Campus Option — This is the typical enrollment choice of most transfer students. As a campus-based transfer student, you'll take classes on the JSC campus in Johnson, Vermont. Here's what you'll need to apply.

2. External Degree Program (EDP) Option — This program
is available to students who already have 60 college credits
and are seeking to complete a bachelor's degree. The EDP
offers five JSC majors on a statewide basis through a
combination of online and weekend courses. Learn more about the External Degree Program here.
