2010 -2011 Scholarships for First Year and Transfer Students
In an effort to make a college education at Johnson State as affordable as possible, we are pleased to offer a number of scholarship opportunities for first year and transfer students. (JSC also offers scholarships for returning students as well.)
To be considered for a JSC scholarship, you must be accepted by March 1, 2010 and plan to enroll full time (12 or more credits per semester) for both the fall 2010 and spring 2011 semesters. Decisions are based on information in your admissions file; no additional application is required. We consider your academic preparation (as reflected by transcripts, courses taken and letters of recommendation), your SAT or ACT score, and your admissions essay. Some JSC scholarships require specific criteria, as noted in the descriptions below. Some scholarships are based on financial need, so be sure to file your FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1, 2010. Students who are selected to receive scholarships ill be notified in writing by April 1, 2010.
