Continuing Education
Johnson State College recognizes that adult learners may want to continue their education for a variety of reasons. Some wish to complete their undergraduate or graduate degree. Some are seeking career advancement. Others simply desire personal enrichment.
Whatever your motivation, JSC has a continuing education option that's right for you. Collectively, these options offer an appealing array of courses, programs, locations and modes of delivery to meet the needs of every adult learner.
- External Degree Program: Complete your bachelor's degree through a flexible program of convenient studies in your community. Includes online and weekend courses at locations throughout Vermont. Requires 60 credits for admission.
- Campus Degree programs: Complete your bachelor's or master's degree while taking courses on the JSC campus. Weekday and evening courses are available, along with a low-residency master of fine arts degree in studio arts.
- Certificates: Take a cluster of courses that introduce you to the fundamentals of a discipline but do not confer a degree. Certificates are available in nonprofit management, small business management and advanced graduate studies.
- Individual courses: Take courses for college credit but not toward a degree or certificate.
By continuing your education at JSC, you will enjoy affordable courses that integrate theory with applied experience and challenge you to expand your mind. All courses are taught by well-qualified faculty who take a personalized approach to students' learning.
In addition, JSC provides academic advising, writer's workshops and math labs, tutorial services, financial aid information, library access and other services designed to help non-traditional students excel here.
