The purpose of this award is to recognize an outstanding part-time faculty member who teaches at JSC.

Criteria for this award include knowledge of the subject material, effectiveness in facilitating learning, ability to help students think critically and creatively, effectiveness in defining learning objectives, and effectiveness in designing educational experiences to address the needs of diverse learners. The recipient of this award receives a monetary gift in recognition of his/her outstanding teaching.

The 2009 recipient is Russell Weis.
