Sandy Duffy, Assistant to the Controller, has been on the JSC staff since 1987. Besides her many other duties, in recent years she has provided invaluable assistance to faculty members applying for research grants. Professors Hans Haverkamp, Liz Dolci, and Gina Mireault (among others) nominated Sandy Duffy for this year’s Freda Hebb award, saying, “Sandy has worked tirelessly on our behalf in helping us secure research grants to support projects valuable to our professional fields, the college, and JSC students. Sandy’s skill and willingness to assist us has resulted in well over one million dollars in external research funding in the past four years for the sciences and social sciences. We cannot think of a more deserving person to be honored with this award.”
