External Degree Program Online Courses
The External Degree Program (EDP) is pleased to offer many online courses through which you can earn credit toward a bachelor's degree, grow professionally, pursue personal interests and learn new skills.
EDP's online courses combine the flexibility and convenience of independent study with the thoughtful interaction that students and instructors find so valuable in a "regular" classroom.
Registration
Registration for an EDP online course is the same process as registration for any EDP course. Students will use their JSC e-mail accounts for their online courses.
If you need assistance, please contact the EDP Office at 800-635-2356 (inside Vermont) or 802-635-1290.
Blackboard Courseware
We also strongly encourage you to examine the course descriptions for each of the online courses to gain some sense of what will be expected of you as an online learner. Syllabi for all EDP courses are posted a few weeks prior to the beginning of the semester on the JSC Web site.
While you're here, check out the Blackboard Portal (our academic community intranet) and course software, and take a good look at the online classroom where you'll work and learn along with other students and the instructor.
Buying Textbooks
You can order books for EDP's online courses just as you would for any other EDP course: from the Johnson State College Bookstore. You can mail or fax to the bookstore the order form you received with your registration materials.
The fax number is 802-635-2534. You may call the bookstore directly at 802-635-2503. Or you can order online by clicking here.
Library Services
Johnson State College librarians encourage you to contact them with your information needs.
