Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education

About the Program

Graduate study at Johnson State College provides an innovative and thorough education using research-based practices and contemporary models of instruction in small, learner-centered courses. To meet the needs of current educators, professionals, and returning students, most courses meet in the evenings or on weekends. Students generally take one to three years to complete their degree work, and all students are required to complete within five years of admission to the program. Selected courses are open to non-degree students on a space-available basis.

Each program specifies the requisite courses and a recommended plan of study. Students work with their advisor to create an individualized plan of study and discuss progress toward graduation.
