Professor Darlene Witte and graduate student Morna Flaum presented their paper “Toward a pedagogy of the
in-between: Mutuality and the nature of learning” at a mid-April conference at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst that was sponsored by the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.
As the treasurer of a national scholarly organization in his field, the Council for Social Foundations of Education, Professor David McGough attended a professional conference in Pittsburgh in early November. The Council holds business meetings twice a year; in the fall the meeting is held during the annual meeting of the American Educational Studies Association, and in the spring during the American Educational Research Association gathering.
