MAT-2140 Modeling the Environment

3 credits

Prerequisite: MAT-1320.

A first course in mathematical modeling, this course enables students to become proficient at applying some of the simpler mathematical models to practical situations. This course focuses on modeling interesting and important environmental problems, and includes models for business and finance and other areas. Students will acquire a working knowledge of the STELLA simulation programs. Meets Part I.B. of the GECC. (Spring semester only)
